Fonts in Action 1.0

This is an application that I had been needing to write for a few years. Often, I will design a brochure, ad, or other piece that I need to find a font to use, so I start the process of entering the text and select each font out of the menu one font at a time to see which font I like best. With hundreds of fonts this can take a long time. "Fonts in Action" speeds this process up by showing the text in all of the different fonts at the same time. You can then copy and paste the version you want into your word processor or graphic design program.

In Mac OS 10.3, Apple's FontBook application replaced KeyCaps. KeyCaps had an advantage that you could try the fonts and the cut and paste an extended character without having to figure out what key combination to type. FontBook does not allow cutting and pasting so it is very difficult to figure out what key combination to use to enter some special characters. Fonts in Action makes it easy.
