FolderControl is a utility to automatically size and arrange the Finder's folder/directory windows into the configuration you define.

Numerous preferences give you control over:

- which folders participate in the processing
- how folder windows are sized, both vertically and horizontally
- how sub-folder windows are arranged, relative to their enclosing folder's
- how various folder-window attributes, such as sorting and view kind, are set
- the permissions on the files that control these capabilities

To arrange folders, you supply a collection of folders to be processed. The collection can be supplied either via the Finder's drag and drop capability, via FolderControl's "Specify Folders..." menu or via UNIX-style command-line arguments.

New in this Version
___________________________________________________
FolderControl now includes preference sets so you can easily use different preference configurations, each of which gives you control over:

- which folders participate in the processing
- how folder windows are sized, both vertically and horizontally
- how sub-folder windows are arranged, relative to their enclosing folder
- how various folder-window attributes, such as sorting and view kind, are set
- setting the permissions on the files that control these capabilities

FolderControl 1.10 has the most popular setup configurations pre-defined. Most users can use it without any further configuration.

In addition, FolderControl 1.10 has:

- some performance improvements in the area of preference handling
- a simplified licensing interface with access to the detailed view, if desired
- a few bug fixes
