Download: 500k .tgz Archive

RPMinator is an ongoing development project at SourceForge. The aim is to create a stable, efficient and feature-rich utility for dealing with Red Hat Package Manager (RPM) files on the MacOS X platform.

* RPM logo picture now drawn with transparent background using CopyBits instead of DrawPicture
* An all-new tabbed interface which allows you to view header info, description and contents list
* An Aqua preferences panel is now present, allowing you to configure certain aspects of the RPMinator interface
* Quartz text now used everywhere except in the Summary and Description text fields
* RPMinator now has an active About RPMinator menu item listing contributors
* It is now possible to extract a file from the Files list using the Extract button instead of a menu item
* RPMinator displays an indeterminate progress window when opening RPM packages
* Switched entirely over to the Carbon Event Handling model
* Decreased dependence on Classic resources
* Improved performance getting package contents list by piping extracted cpio file instead of rpm2cpio output
