LogPile 1.0.2b6
Sep 15, 2002 05:58AM

Download: 900 KBytes BinHex

LogPile is a handy utility for viewing and printing OS X's system-level logs and application crash logs. It provides users a simple find and filter feature for basic data-mining operations of said logs. Users can also use LogPile to clear the contents of a specified application log. Currently, LogPile will not clear the contents of an OS X system log due to a permissions problem. It also will not support log files larger than 512 KBytes in size due to performance issues. Both shall be addressed in future releases.

LogPile is designed to complement (if not, replace) MacOS X's Console utility application. It is also designed for a user with administrative privileges. For security reasons, it should not be used when logged in as 'root'.

* fixed inconsistent version numbering.
* fixed a bug where closing the LogPile main window does not quit the application.
