File Freak 3.5.1

"File Freak is a program that offers a new and better way to get at your files. Rather than navigating through several levels of folders in the Finder, or using Apple's Sherlock search program, just start typing the name of the file you're looking for into the File Freak window. File Freak dynamically minimizes the matching list of files as you type. Then you have several commands at your disposal including open, move to trash, and open enclosing folder. Most importantly, File Freak gives you the option of only displaying the most recent copy of any files that have the same name."

What's New
The underlying search architecture has been completely rewritten in 3.5 and yields much faster indexing speeds along with the ability to continue to track files even after they're moved or renamed.

Indexing is up to 45% faster in Mac OS 9 and SIX TIMES faster in Mac OS X
Can now continue to track files even after they've been moved or renamed
Now finds and displays versions of application bundles
Drags into the file browser are once again working in 9.2.x
Fixed several crashing bugs
Added "locked" attribute to the Edit Finder Info feature
Fixed problem that caused an error when opening folders in Mac OS X
Aliases are now intelligently weeded out during the search and so the "discard masquerading aliases" pref has been removed
Searches over the network continue even if the network volume changes

Version 3.5.1 fixes an application crash that could occur during indexing.
